Worcester Office

1) Registered/Certified Medical Assistant or LPN – Telephone Triage — Full-time, 40 hours per week, Mon.-Fri., 8:30am-5pm 

Under the direct supervision of practice manager and under the direction of ob-gyn physicians or midwife, the successful candidate will assist in patient care via telephone triage at a high-volume, fast-paced call center.


  • Gathering pertinent information from patients to convey to healthcare providers
  • Communicate in effective and timely manner with providers and patients
  • Thoroughly document communication in patients’ electronic medical record
  • Transmit, on behalf of the providers, electronic lab orders and ordered prescriptions
  • Schedule appointments, surgeries, and procedures
  • Obtain prior authorizations/certifications from insurance companies
  • Process referrals
  • Coordinate care with patients’ other healthcare providers
  • Other related work as required

2) Registered/Certified Medical Assistant — Full-time, 40 hours per week, Mon.-Fri., 8:30 am-5 pm


  • Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs (including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and accurately and thoroughly document all information in patient’s electronic medical record
  • Assist physician in exam rooms
  • Perform basic lab testing such as urine dipsticks and pregnancy tests
  • Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or midwife
  • Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, sterilization as required
  • Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls under the instruction of physicians and midwife
  • Triage and process messages from patients to physicians; schedule appointments appropriately.
  • Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)



Minimum educational requirements for both positions are both a high school diploma/GED and an active certification/registration for Medical Assistants or an active LPN license.

One year of medical experience in a physician’s office, clinic, or hospital preferred, as well as ob-gyn experience; will train highly motivated new graduate.


  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Careful listening, critical thinking, and sharp clinical judgement
  • High level of sensitivity, empathy, professionalism and strict confidentiality
  • Extremely organized and focused
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cordial working relationships with patients, medical staff, and co-workers. Treating all with dignity and respect.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and arithmetic
