Obstetrics & Gynecology

Clinical Interests:

In addition to providing routine annual and urgent gynecologic care, Dr. Fischer’s clinical interests and focus include:

  • In-office procedures for evaluation and treatment of menstrual disorders
  • Minimally invasive surgery via laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques
  • Operative hysteroscopy as well as surgical and medical management of uterine fibroids, pelvic pain and abnormal bleeding
  • Evaluation and treatment of abnormal pap smears
  • Evaluation and treatment of premenopausal and postmenopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, mood changes, vaginal discomfort and dryness.

In addition, Dr. Fischer has a special interest in treatment of vulvar pain (vulvodynia), painful intercourse and sexual problems.


Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a founding member of Women’s Health of Central Massachusetts, Dr. Fischer has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology since 1990.
