Digital Mammography
Immediate appointments availableWomen's Health has been providing our patients with state-of-the-art digitial breast imaging since the fall of 2007. Appointments for digital mammograms are offered starting in the early morning and continue throughout the afternoon. These appointments can be scheduled at the same time as your yearly gynecological exam. The American Cancer Society recommends a baseline screening mammogram at age 35 and yearly thereafter starting at age 40 for all women. Digital mammography can detect breast cancer at its earliest and most treatable stage, long before it would be felt on a breast exam. Our mammograms are interpreted by experienced radiologists. This state-of-the-art technology improves breast cancer detection.
Ultrasound
Our Worcester office provides ultrasound in normal prenatal care and also in the diagnosis of gynecologic conditions such as fibroids and abnormal bleeding. Fluid enhanced ultrasound (sonohysterogram) improves the diagnosis of gynecologic abnormalities. Ultrasound uses harmless sound waves to diagnose obstetric and gynecologic conditions. Ultrasound examinations are usually scheduled in conjunction with doctor’s visits for your convenience. Our ultrasound unit, technicians, and physicians are certified by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.
